Amitabh Bachchan Shares FIRST Photo From Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Netizens Joke 'Aarambh Kiya Jaaye'

Amitabh Bachchan has finally started shooting for the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. On Thursday evening, the Bollywood superstar took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and shared the first photo from the sets of the quiz show. In the black and white picture, Big B was seen spreading his arms as he seemingly welcomed the audience to the show’s new season. “T 5082 – BACK to KBC 16th season,” he wrote.

Soon after the photo was shared, netizens reacted to it and expressed excitement for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. “Aarambh kiya jaaye,” one of the fans joked. Another wrote how Big B usually greets viewers on his show and wrote, “Deviyon aur Sajjano…aapka bahut bahut swagat hai.” “Same energy, same enthusiasm ..extreme respect,” a third comment read.

The photo comes a day after it was reported that Amitabh Bachchan has started shooting for KBC 16. “The team had a wonderful mock shoot and is pumped to begin work on the season with new energy. The team has retained the original format and not implemented any key changes overall. Bachchan sir, of course, is as excited as always to come back to the KBC set,” a source cited by Indian Today said.

Amitabh Bachchan has been the host of KBC since its inception in 2000, except for the third season, which was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

During the last episode of KBC 15, Big B got emotional when he said, “Devi aur Sajjano, ab hum jaa rahe aur kal se yeh manch ab nahi sajega. Apno se yeh keh pana ki kal se hum yahan nahi aa payenge, na kehne ki himmat hoti aur na kehne ka mann hota hai. Main Amitabh Bachchan iss daur ke liye, iss manch se akhri baar kehne jaa raha hu, Shubraatri.”

KBC 16 was announced in April this year when the show’s makers unveiled a promo and announced that the registrations were open. However, the official premiere date of KBC 16 is not known as of now.
