Aamir Khan, renowned globally for his exceptional performances and impactful storytelling, holds an unshakable position in the entertainment industry. Never shying away from his duties, he actively contributes to society through initiatives like the ‘Paani Foundation’ and his show ‘Satyamev Jayate’. Despite his busy schedule filming ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ for a Christmas 2024 release in Delhi, Aamir Khan made a special trip back to Mumbai just to cast his vote, displaying his dedication to his civic responsibility.
Aamir Khan and his ex-wife Kiran Rao can be seen in a video shared by the popular paparazzo handle Viral Bhayani. The duo can be seen showing off their inked fingers outside the voting booth, with wide smiles on their faces. The Laal Singh Chaddha actor sported a black t-shirt and blue denim jeans. On the other hand, Kiran Rao opted for a white top and shorts.
Take a look:
Aamir Khan was present at the 25th anniversary special premiere of Sarfarosh when he shared the big update about Sarfarosh 2 and urged the film’s director, John Matthew Matthan, to work on it, “I can commit about one thing, that we will definitely give it a really serious shot now of coming up with the right script and the right kind of film for it. So John you will have to get to work here,” Aamir said and then added, “Sarfarosh 2 banni chaiye (Sarfarosh 2 should be made) even I feel that.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir Khan is all set to make his comeback with RS Prasanna’s Sitaare Zameen Par and Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore: 1947. While the actor will be starring opposite Genelia D’Souza in the former, he would be producing his maiden collaboration in the latter that’ll see Sunny Deol in the lead. A recent report claims that both the projects will kick off from February.
In an earlier interview, during the promotions of Laapataa Ladies, Aamir had spoke about Sitaare Zameen Par and said, “I have started shooting for my new film, Sitaare Zameen Par from February 1. It is the next level of Taare Zameen Par, it is like part 2. It is not the same story and the characters are also not the same. The theme is the same but the difference is, unlike Taare Zameen Par, which left you with tears, Sitaare Zameen Par will leave in laughter. Prasanna is directing it and it is an entertaining film. We are looking at the same topic but with a different perspective.”
