Natasha Poonawalla is a celebrated fashion connoisseur whose remarkable sense of style and effortless ability to carry off any look has made her an icon in the world of high fashion. Her impeccable taste in fashion is well-known, and she has been able to carve a niche for herself in the highly competitive fashion world. She is a favourite among fashion enthusiasts and critics alike, who admire her ability to exude confidence and elegance in whatever outfit she wears.
For her appearance at the Met Gala 2024, Natasha opted for a custom look from Maison Margiela’s Artisanal collection which has been designed by ace designer John Galliano.
Sharing the pictures on Instagram, the fashion star wrote, “Rebirth and renewal – notions which are so important not only in us as individuals, but themes which drive creativity forward. It is such an immense joy and privilege to work with John Galliano on The Met, a designer who first made me fall in love with fashion and who has had a huge influence on my deep appreciation for creativity.”
“Our interpretation of this year’s dress code was a journey which evolved and was shaped as we got to know each other. We loved the idea of the fragility of time and life co-existing with strength and permanence and incorporating my own sleeping beauties; my set of wedding jewels. It has been an honour to work together with a legend, and such an open creative collaborator to make an everlasting living piece of art,” she further added.

Natasha loves an over-the-top look and this time around too it was no different for her. The magnificent ensemble featured a white strapless bodycon gown with a sweetheart neckline that had been sculptured to perfection and fitted her beautifully. What took the bodycon dress to a whole other level was the sheer torn chiffon detailing that had been meticulously laid on the dress. The fit of the dress was absolutely exceptional and went on to create a stunning silhouette and the thigh-high slit at the back of the gown definitely upped the ante.
She further accessorised the look with a large white beret which was puffy and had similar chiffon layering as her gown. To further increase the drama quotient of the look, Natasha walked the carpet in high platform heels from the shelves of Christian Louboutin- in the caption of her post, she mentioned, “Huge thank you to my dearest Christian Louboutin who wove his magic into our collaboration by creating the most insanely beautiful shoes, linked so intimately to the look and to what we were all trying to achieve together. His eye for detail and craft are unparalleled, and what make him the best!!”
The chunky pearl earrings along with the diamond choker and the bejewelled wristlet and anklet brought in traditional Indian elements to the look and netizens are in love with the synergy it created. The jewellery choices screamed the fact that a little shimmer and shine never hurt anyone. One has to admit that the matching white bag with chiffon layering was a good touch too.
In terms of makeup, the glittery eyeshadow and red lips worked like magic, her kohl-rimmed eyes synced well with the look and the dewy base was definitely a wise choice. The hair was done well and added to the looks allure.
