Fashion has in many ways than one given designers, models, celebrities, leaders and others a medium for self-expression. On one hand while former US First Lady Michelle Obama communicated a lot through her intelligent sartorial choices - championing immigrant designers, speaking her mind on the issue of democracy and more - on the other, designers have used fashion runways to communicate social messages and and support various causes.

And this season, celebrities chose to make a powerful and clever fashion statement in a very subtle way - by sporting slogan t-shirts for public appearances.
While slogan t-shirts never went out of fashion, it got noticed even more in recent times owing to celebrities flaunting it on various occasions.
While several designers including national and international - Gaurav Gupta, Christian Dior - gave a lot of attention to slogan tees in their collection, stars including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma were seen sporting round feminist-centric slogan t-shirts. And we must say, the divas looked perfect in their attires and the feminist slogans emblazoned on their t-shirts were a visual marker of what they believed in.

Deepika Padukone
Actress Deepika Padukone stunned in this Dior outfit. Her cool slogan t-shirt with the word revolution emblazoned in capital letters spoke a million words without the actress saying much. She completed her look by pairing the casual t-shirt with a black Dior skirt, shoes by Christian Louboutin and hair and makeup by Namrata Soni.
Actor Deepika Padukone was also spotted at the airport with a feminist slogan on her black tee.
Anushka Sharma
Actor Anushka Sharma sported a casual white Dior t-shirt with the slogan 'We should all be feminists' emblazoned on it. She donned the same t-shirt on the cover of a leading fashion magazine too.
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi donned a white Abraham and Thakore slogan tee with the words 'girl power' written in Hindi on her t-shirt for a photoshoot of a leading fashion magazine.
