Watch: 'Drunk' Man Thrashed Outside Kolkata Club After Refusing To Pay Bill

Irresponsible drinking all too often results in both verbal and physical altercations, scenarios we’ve witnessed in various social settings where individuals, under the influence of alcohol, engage in heated disputes. Such incidents frequently arise due to erratic behaviour or disputes over unpaid bills, and the consequences can be dangerously significant. A recent video that emerged on X (Formerly Twitter) serves as a stark reminder of this common issue. In this video, we witness a man wearing a black t-shirt positioned near the exit gate of what seems to be a nightclub or bar.

The ambience of the video seems dark, indicative of a late evening or nighttime setting, with the surrounding area appearing deserted, apart from the group of men present there. We can see the man, clad in black, is subjected to a relentless assault by a group of individuals. The group of men continuously kick him as he lies on the road. Despite his attempts to retaliate, his inebriation and the probable injuries sustained from prior kicks make him incapable of making any significant defence.

The Twitter account that shared the video claims that the man in question was excessively drunk and had even hurled abuses at the club’s manager. He had not paid his bill either.

This incident reportedly took place in Kolkata, and it has garnered nearly 30 thousand views so far.

Despite being extremely unfortunate and shocking, this occurrence is far from an isolated one.

A similar incident had taken place at a location within the Garden Galleria mall, located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

During this episode, two different groups of men became involved in a violent confrontation, captured in videos that were widely shared across various social media platforms. These visuals reportedly showed excessively drunk individuals aggressively shoving, kicking, and exchanging a barrage of abuses and insults.

The groups also went on to throw bottles of alcohol at each other, making the situation more dangerous and chaotic at the bar.

Despite various attempts made by the bar’s staff and other people to defuse the situation, neither of the feuding groups showed a willingness to de-escalate the tension. Given the severity and public visibility of this incident, it reportedly prompted an in-depth investigation by the local police.
