In what comes as a bizarre incident, a man walked into a teacher’s office with a few of his friends and thrashed a teacher. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur and the CCTV footage shows the man assaulting a teacher for allegedly punishing his child. The teacher forced the student to do sit-ups as punishment. The child told this to his parents and this made the father aggressive. According to reports, the student is in 5th standard. His father allegedly claimed that the child was made to do more than fifty sit-ups which caused swelling in his legs.

The viral video shows the principal sitting along with the teacher when suddenly a man, along with his friends, enters the room and starts thrashing the teacher. After the situation got out of hand, many people could be seen intervening and trying to stop the fight. A security personnel had to get involved and the man was then escorted out of the school premises.

Since being uploaded, the video has gathered multiple views. “Parents are the cause for so many coaching centers. As in olden days if the teachers are encouraged to be guardians of kids, there would have no need to send even small kids to coaching centres. Now school teachings are only formalities,” commented an ‘X’ user.

Another person wrote, “Poor teacher, sit ups are good for health and what other options does a teacher have? Scarless and bone injuries should not be there otherwise punishment like sit ups are good for students. Parents should understand this or the child may become a bad character and will not study.”
