Will check malaria

BANGALORE: Following reports of a malaria cases in T C Palya area, the health officials are planning to create awareness among the residents about the ways to check the source of the disease. A senior health inspector said some patients who were being treated at St John's Hospital had been discharged.
The Health Department claimed that this year it had not witnessed rise in malaria cases. Health Commissioner (Incharge) Selva Kumar said that there was a 40 per cent reduction in malaria cases compared with last year.
