Wife divorces Lineker for 'behaviour'
Former England captain turned TV presenter Gary Lineker was divorced by his wife citing "unreasonable behaviour".

London: Former England soccer captain turned BBC presenter Gary Lineker was divorced on Tuesday by his wife on the grounds of his "continuing unreasonable behaviour".

At a brief hearing at London's Principal Registry of the Family Division, District Judge Reid formally granted the decree divorcing Lineker from his wife Michelle Cockayne.

Papers before the court reveal the ground for divorce as 45-year-old Lineker's unreasonable behaviour, which is said to be continuing. However no further details were given.

The papers stated that Cockayne had now returned to live at the family home with the couple's four children and that Lineker was now living elsewhere.

Lineker made 80 appearances for England scoring 48 goals.

At the end of his career he started working for the BBC and is best known as host of Match Of The Day as well as appearing on the quiz show They Think It's All Over.
