We can't say Indrani Mukherjea is out of danger as of now, says JJ Hospital Dean
The jail authorities said that they are looking into the matter and conducting an inquiry.

Mumbai: Indrani Mukherjea, accused of murdering her daughter Sheena Bora, is not out of danger but has gained consciousness and is responsive to oral commands. She was admitted to the JJ Hospital in Mumbai on Friday night.

"Her situation has improved overnight but problem of respiration remains same. Indrani's respiration is not normal and no one from the family visited her. The principal secretary and a CBI team member visited her on Friday night, " TP Lahane, Dean of JJ Hospital, said.

"We can't say Indrani is out of danger as of now. She is not on ventilator but is being given oxygen. She is semi-conscious and responding to oral commands", said Lahane.

The jail authorities said that they are looking into the matter and conducting an inquiry. "We are doing the inquiry, we can't tell the time limit", Vipin Kumar, IG, Jail said. "She was taking the medicines there, she was in the doctor's custody since 6 on Friday morning", he added.

Additional Secretary of Jail, Satveer Singh said that her condition is stable. "We cannot say how she overdosed. According to the information, she was treated through anti-depressants," said Singh.

Earlier on Friday night, Indrani was admitted to the JJ hospital with initial complaints of chest pain.
