Rohit Sharma has been basking in the glory of leading the Indian cricket team to their second T20 World Cup title – the first ICC title in 10 years on June 30. People across India have been expressing admiration for Rohit in many different ways. According to Local 18 Bengal, a boy from Dhubchururia village, Durgapur, named Chotan Ghosh Manu has created a sketch of the former captain of the Indian T20 cricket team. He created this sketch by just using a special type of glue, a pencil-like tool and cumin powder. As seen in the Local 18 Bengal visual, Chotan initially applied glue on a white sheet and then started making bold strokes on it with the help of the tool. The Dhubchururia village continued to make strokes on the paper until he obtained a human-like figure on it. He then opened a packet of cumin powder and poured all the spice on the paper. He adjusted the powder according to the spaces on the paper created due to strokes. Chotan then held the paper from the table, thus removing the excessive cumin powder from the sheet. Surprisingly, we see a portrait of the former Indian T20 Cricket team captain, smiling.

Not only Rohit’s portrait, but Chotan has also curated many such figures that are a testament to his creative brilliance as an artist. He has curated the sketch of Chandrayaan, India’s first mission to the moon and also drew Ram Mandir’s sketch using biscuits. In an interview with Local 18, the Dhubchururia village native has shed light on how he gets ideas to come up with such remarkable art pieces.

In a similar instance, an artist named Zuhaib Khan depicted his support for the Indian team playing in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 by making an 8-foot-tall portrait of team captain Rohit Sharma. Zuhaib, an Amorha-based artist wished the Indian team ‘Best of luck’ for the final against South Africa.

Rohit Sharma has now become the first-ever captain to lead a team to 50 T20I games. The 50th triumph was the World Cup final against South Africa.
