The filmmaker will document the screenplays of the veteran's films

Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who has minted immense amount of money with 3 Idiots, now wants to do something for the film industry. He has decided to document the screenplays of some of the greatest films of Bollywood and is going to start with Guru Dutt's films.

Says Vidhu says, "My production house had launched the screenplay of Lage Raho Munnabhai and lately, 3 Idiots. But somewhere I felt, there is no way to go back to these old pathbreaking movies. It is not all documented."

Vidhu is a big fan of Guru Dutt films. His production house is in the process of launching books with the screenplay of three of the veteran's films - Chaudhvin Ka Chand, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam and Kaagaz Ke Phool.

Arun Dutt, son of Guru Dutt, seems to be very excited with Vidhu's idea. He happily says, "It is nice when people appreciate the films made by my father. I think documenting the screenplay and making it available for the masses is a very good idea."

Talking about the profits by the sale of these books, Vidhu said, "I am not doing this for any commercial reason. Whatever profits the books make will go to the director's family."

After achieving a lot of success, Vidhu's noble gesture can be rightly called as paying back to the film industry.
