New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday registered an FIR after a US national alleged that she was molested by a cab driver.
The incident took place in Delhi while the FIR was filed with Ahmednagar Police in Mahrashtra. The case was then transferred from Maharashtra to Delhi. The victim has alleged that she was molested by a cab driver in south east Delhi on 24th July.
The US national was in Delhi for three days between 21st -24th July. For three days, she used the same cab which she had booked online. In her complaint she claimed that she was molested on 24th July. She then went on a study tour, but on on Wednesday she told one of her professors about the incident and subsequently a complaint was filed.
Delhi Police got the Zero FIR from Maharashtra police. The FIR is against cab driver Devesh chauhan who is a resident of Himachal Pradesh. The accused is said to be absconding, police claims it is conducting regular raids to nab him.
