BANGALORE:  As government and the private schools offer two different types of education, the present education system is producing two types of citizens, said Jnanpith awardee Dr Chandrashekar Kambar.He was speaking at a seminar on ‘B Basavalingappa and Dalith Politics’, organised by Karnataka Rajya Dalitha Sangarsha Samithi on Saturday.Alleging that the State government is promoting the traditional  ‘Chaturvarna’ system through education, Kambar said, “In future, it will be very difficult to unite the children who pass out from private and government schools.” He further said the untouchability is still prevalent in many villages. Former President of Kannada Book Authority Prof S G Siddaramaiah and Laksminarayan Nagavara, president of the Samithi, were present on the event.
