Bharti singh, wife of Union Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh, has filed an FIR against her nephew's friend for blackmailing her.
New Delhi: Bharti singh, wife of Union Minister of State for External Affairs General VK Singh, has accused his nephew's friend of trying to blackmail and extort Rs 2 crore from her.
She told the police that the man, Pradip Chauhan, claimed that he has video and audio recordings which would "ruin General Singh's reputation".
Chauhan also allegedly threatened to upload the contents on social media if the money was not paid.
The case has been registered at the Tugalaq Road police station in central Delhi. Sources close to family said the accused is a close friend of General Singh’s nephew.
