UDF, LDF candidates declare assets

KOCHI:  While UDF candidate in the Piravom by-election Anoop Jacob has a total assets of Rs 3.06 crore, LDF candidate M J Jacob has Rs 1.22 crore, says the affidavits filed before the Election Commission.While M J Jacob has Rs 12,000 as cash in hand, Anoop has Rs 35,000. M J Jacob has a deposit of Rs 2,673 in various banks and Anoop has Rs 77,748. M J Jacob has shares worth Rs 5,250.Anoop does not have any shares. The affidavits say that the UDF candidate has jewellery worth Rs 21,000 whereas the LDF candidate does not have any.  M J Jacob has other assets, such as values of claims/interests which totals to Rs 60 lakh.The value of Anoop’s land is Rs 26,50,000 and that of M J Jacob is Rs 60 lakh. The residential building of Anoop is said to be worth Rs 2,96,7750 and that of M J Jacob is Rs 15 lakh. While the LDF candidate has a liability of Rs 13,15,832, the UDF candidate does not have any.
