In a shocking incident, a doctor was shot dead inside a hospital in Delhi’s Jaitpur area in Kalindi Kunj after two men came for treatment with an excuse of injury, police informed.
CCTV footage visuals are being examined to identify the accused.
As per the hospital staff, two men had come to the hospital with an injury, after dressing they had demanded to meet the doctor and shot him dead as they entered his cabin, the police said.
The staff said that soon after hearing the gunshot, they rushed to the doctor’s cabin and found him bleeding.
The reason behind killing the doctor has yet not been revealed. The police is investigating the case and searching for the accused.
The incident took place at a time when doctors in Kolkata are protesting to ensure their safety and security at all medical establishments across the country.
