KOCHI: Twenty individuals, including women, were arrested on Thursday for disposing waste in public areas. Kochi city police have started taking strict action against illegal dumping of waste in various parts of the city. The arrested are charged with a crime punishable up to one year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000.
