HYDERABAD: The Telangana Telugu Desam Forum (TTDF) has unveiled a flag which would be hoisted across the region from August 2 as part of its flag festival. In an attempt to woo the Telangana people, the TTDF has prepared almost a new flag for the Telangana region. The yellow flag will have a Telangana map on it with the TDP symbol printed in a small size above the map along with Jai Telangana and Jai TDP slogans. After the tremendous response to its recent bus yatra in the Telangana region, the TTDF has decided to further consolidate its base and planned a flag festival for one week from July 25.With the TDP MLAs not facing much resistance from the public in the Telangana region post their resignations, the party has decided to bank on the image of the legislators to strengthen the party. With the approval of the party leaders, the TTDF has dropped party president Chandrababu Naidu’s photo from the flag. As Naidu has been under attack from Telangana activists for his two-eye theory, the TTDF has decided to highlight the Telangana map along with the party symbol.“We are organising the flag festival demanding that the Centre introduce a Telangana Bill in the Parliament. That is why we have prepared a Telangana flag for the party,” TTDF convener E Dayakar Rao told Express.Meanwhile, at a press conference, party leader Dayakar Rao alleged that the TRS was behind the attack on them during the funeral of Yadi Reddy on Friday.
