TTDC conducted tours prove a big hit

CHENNAI : The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has launched its annual summer weekend conducted tours to various hill stations from Chennai, which have become a hit with tourists.The all-inclusive tour packages that started from the second week of April attract a good number of tourists from the city. Commencing their journey from Chennai on a Friday evening, tourists can spend Saturday and Sunday in Ooty, Kodaikanal, Yercaud or Hogenakkal, returning to the city on Monday morning.The occupancy by Chennaiites in hotels run by the TTDC in the three hill stations of Ooty, Kodaikanal and Yercaud has seen a substantial jump with reservations by people from the city estimated at 50, 40 and 30 per cent, respectively, sources claimed.The omni bus operators from Koyembedu who ply special buses to the hill stations with almost all the regular services are running with full capacity.
