HYDERABAD: The Telangana JAC on Wednesday threatened to intensify agitation once again if the ruling Congress fails to make its stand clear on the issue before the Parliament resumes its session on April 24.The steering committee meeting of the TJAC was held on Wednesday which was attended by all TJAC constituents. The meeting reviewed the prevailing political situation and the spurt in suicides for the cause of Telangana. The TJAC felt that it was high time the Centre take a decision on Telangana. Later, TJAC convener M Kodandaram said that the TJAC would organise rallies and protest programmes all over the region from April 10 to 20. Appealing to the Telangana youth not to end lives for the cause, he maintained that the alleged suicides would stop if the separate state demand is accepted.Union petroleum minister S Jaipal Reddy and panchayat raj minister K Jana Reddy should build pressure on the Congress leadership to deliver Telangana state, the JAC convener claimed.Kodandaram said they did not discuss the bypolls for Parkal Assembly constituency. He said they would discuss it only after the Election Commission issues notification. TRS senior leader Nayani Narasimha Reddy, T Rajeshwar Rao, Ashok Kumar(BJP), TNGO president K Swami Goud and others attended the meeting.
