The children died at BRD Medical College Hospital in Gorakhpur, they said, adding that five fresh encephalitis patients were admitted to BRD-MCH during the period.
With these deaths, the toll in eastern UP from the disease since January rose to 626, the officials said. Around 157 patients are still being treated at BRD-MCH and other government hospitals, the sources said.
