PARADIP: Uneasy calm prevailed in Dhinkia and Gobindpur villages on Saturday after the clashes at Bose Callis Point. After a series of meetings and rallies the anti-Posco activists stopped their agitation at Dhinkia on Saturday but the villagers, including children and women continued their sit-in at Balitikira, bordering Gobindpur, to protest land acquisition and demolition of betel vines.Meanwhile, police have registered a murder case in the coastal road-related death case against former legislator and CPI leader Narayan Reddy, who is spearheading the anti-Posco movement in the absence of Abhay Sahu. PPSS has, on the other hand, is guarding local people with arms at different gates round-the-clock to prevent the arrest of Reddy and other PPSS leaders. Sources said police registered another case against construction agency and its advisor Bapi Sharkhel for the violence following which PPSS has demanded immediate arrest of Sharkhel.
