Hyderabad: With an aim to promote and reinvigorate patriotism among youth, legislators of Bhartiya Janta Party in Telangana along with Bharath Mata Foundation has planned for “Bharath Matha Arathi” on January 26, in Hyderabad.
Thousand of students and youth from across districts of Telangana are expected to participate in the event.
Preparations are in full swing, a special 25-feet Bharat Mata statue that has been installed at People’s Plaza. A number of patriotic and cultural programmes are also being organised.
Over 1500 girls will perform donning tri-colour saris, portraits of 70 freedom fighters will also be put up. Telangana BJP leader Kishan Reddy said, “The main objective of the programme is to offer prayers to Bharath Mata and to convert arathi into an annual event to enhance patriotic spirit among the public”.
The event organisers also aim to make it to the Limca book of world records.
