HYDERABAD: Congress MPs from Telangana region have started making efforts to prevail upon Telangana ministers to quit their posts. After returning from Delhi on Friday, T Congress MPs held discussions at the residence of Panchayat Raj minister K Jana Reddy, who is also co-chairman of Telangana Congress Steering Committee.Later, the T Congress MPs also met home minister Sabita Indra Reddy on the rail roko issue. They urged both the ministers to quit their posts and join the Telangana movement.MPs K Keshava Rao, Y Madhu Yashki Goud, Ponnam Prabhakar, S Rajaiah, Manda Jagannatham, G Vivekananda, K Raja Gopal Reddy and others took part in the discussions.They said the Telangana issue reached a decisive stage and the T movement should be intensified. The Central government and AICC leadership began efforts to resolve the T issue.It is the right time to bring pressure on the Centre and the Congress high command by Telangana ministers by submitting their resignations, the MPs said. They alleged that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had intensified his efforts to suppress Sakala Janula Samme after returning from Delhi.Jana Reddy said he would convey the feelings of MPs to the chief minister.The MPs have decided to take part in the rail roko programme of the TJAC from Saturday in their respective constituencies. They demanded that DGP V Dinesh Reddy should withdraw his warning to T protagonists on the rail roko programme.The home minister assured that she would ask the police to show restraint towards T activists taking part in the rail roko programme. Madhu Yashki accused governor ESL Narasimhan of behaving like a police boss.
