BANGALORE: The Five-Year Law Course Advocates Association has offered free legal aid to actress Nikita Thukral, who has been banned by the Kannada Film Producers’ Association for a period of three years. The Association President S Umesh termed the ban as illegal and alleged that the industry is making the actress a scapegoat. “It appears that the industry has the tacit support of Home and Transport Minister R Ashok, who has remained a silent spectator about the issue,” he said.Offering legal assistance from the Association, Umesh alleged that the recent attacks on pubs and the banning of actress Nikita gives an impression that people are living under Taliban rule here.
