Suspected criminal shot at by a man over personal enmity

A suspected criminal was allegedly shot at by a man over an old personal enmity in Dausa district in Jaipur, police said on Wednesday.

28-year-old Sagar Meena was caught by one Santosh Meena and five others over some old personal enmity in the Amberkar Nagar area in Jaipur on Tuesday night. After a verbal spat, Santosh opened fire at Sagar leaving him injured, Superintendent of Police Dausa, Anshuman Bhomia said.

The victim was taken to SMS hospital in Jaipur where his condition is stated to be stable.

"Sagar and Santosh have an old enmity. Sagar, a history sheeter, was in judicial custody for few months and was released on bail three days back," the SP said.

Santosh and his aides are absconding, he said, adding efforts are being made to nab them.
