TIRUVALLA: St Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, buttressed its lead to remain on the top on the penultimate day of the five-day Mahatma Gandhi University youth fest, ‘Sargodayam’, here on Saturday.The tough contest between Sacred Heart College, Thevara, and RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura, for the second position continued on the fourth day with both colleges remaining tied.St Teresa’s College garnered 50 points, while Sacred Heart College and RLV College have 41 points each.Federal Institute of Science and Technology, Angamaly, stood third with 28 points, followed by SB College, Changanassery, with 24 points.In Margamkali event, St Teresa’s College won the first prize while Assumption College, Changanassery, finished second and BCM College, Kottayam, third.In Mono Act, Lakshmi Jyothi V of RLV College bagged the first prize while Nidhin Shah Ashraf of St Albert’s College, Ernakulam, and Neenu Rajeev of UC College, Aluva, won the second and third places, respectively.Pranav Mohan of St Joseph College of Communication, Changanassery, came first in Light Music Vocal Indian (male). The second prize was shared by Sidharth Bharath of SH College and Rahul R Nath of Mar Baselius Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Peermedu. Sarath Chandra Bose of RLV College took the third spot.In the film-review competition, Sreetjith R S of University College of Teacher Education, Erattupetta, won the first prize, Angel Tess Cherian came second and Prince T Jose of St Thomas College, Pala, third. In bharathnatryam (male), Sen Jansen of Sacred Heart College bagged the first prize, Vidhun Kumar of Mar Baselius Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Peerumedu, bagged the second prize and Subhash M of RLV College, stood third.In Hindi elocution, Veena Vishwanath Bhandary of St Teresa’s College took home the top honours, while Vinod P G of SCMS School of Technology, Karukutty, finished second and Sneha Shajan of CMS College, Kottayam, came third. In the fancy dress competition, Chitralekha S of St Thomas College, Ranni, emerged winner. Saranya Sasidharan of FISAT, Angamaly, and Hemanth Lekshman of RLV College shared the second spot while Neenu Rajiv of UC College secured the third prize.
