Squall brings respite from heat, but disrupts normal life in Jaipur

A high-speed squall accompanied by thundershowers disrupted normal life in the Pink City and its adjoining areas on Sunday.

Traffic snarls were reported in several areas in the city which received 2.4 mm of rains, officials and the weather office said.

Mercury dipped by several notches at most places in the state due to upper air cyclonic clouds over north-west parts of the state.

Kota recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees celsius followed by Barmer, Chittorgargh, and Jaisalmer (39.5 degrees each), the Met office said.
