The rains are expected to pick up in the next two weeks in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
New Delhi: The monsoon, after remaining active over northern India last week, has slowed down in the last couple of days.
Independent forecast agency Skymet has predicted that the monsoon is slowing down but has said that there is no need to press the panic as yet.
Skymet says that the monsoon is deficient by 6% so far but this is not an alarming trend. The rains are expected to pick up in the next two weeks in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
