Acting on a tip-off, the cash was been recovered from room number 202 and 206 from Hotel Taksh Inn in Karol Bagh.
Reportedly, it has been found, during interrogation, that the money belongs to a Bombay-based hawala operators who had hired packaging specialists for packing the notes in such a manner that it went undetectable by airport scanning machines.
Interestingly, the experts had used some tapes and wires which pass through X-Ray machine.
Meanwhile, the IT department is analysing the mobile details of those detained.
The everyday seizure of cash has certainly raised many questions on the accountability of the demonetisation drive announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8.
