Retired army man held for Dilshan shooting

CHENNAI: The sensational Dilshan shooting case was reportedly solved on Saturday with the CB-CID detaining a retired army officer here in connection with the killing. A weapon was also apparently recovered from the Cooum River.Official sources said the police zeroed in on the retired army officer after interrogations with several army officers. Earlier in the evening, the CB-CID had circulated a message that it had formed 12 special teams to speed up the probe. But late in the night, it claimed that a retired army officer had been detained. A senior officer said details would be given out on Sunday.
