Jaipur: Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh on Monday asked Vice Chancellors of government universities in the state to implement a marking scheme for transparency in evaluation of copies.
Paper setters should specify which and how many facts are expected in the answer to a particular question and what will be the weightage of those facts while deciding the marks, the Governor said in a letter dispatched to all Vice Chancellors.
The Governor said that it should also be specified how much marks should be deducted on not mentioning expected facts in the answer, a Raj Bhawan release stated, adding that he also asked the VCs to upload the marking scheme on websites after the exam.
Such scheme will help in transparent evaluation of copies, Singh said.
At present, no such model or system for evaluation of answer papers is in practice and examiners give marks as per their own assessment of the answers.
