Punjab: Woman polling officer dies of cardiac arrest in Moga
She suffered weakness and her blood pressure dipped when she was at Nihal Singhwala to collect polling material.

Moga: A woman polling officer of Himmatpura village in Moga district died following a cardiac arrest, officials said on Wednesday. Kamlesh Kaur(48), an Anganwadi supervisor and also a polling officer who was posted at Baghapurana of Himmatpura village in Moga sub division, died of heart failure on Tuesday night.

She suffered weakness and her blood pressure dipped when she was at Nihal Singhwala to collect polling material, officials said. She was taken to Nihal Singhwala civil hospital, and later referred to Moga civil hospital where she died due to cardiac arrest, they said.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) had appointed a new polling officer at Himmatpura where the polling process is normal on Wednesday, they added.
