KOZHIKODE: ‘’We need to promote a ‘fish for all and forever movement’ to promote nutrition security of the people,’’ according to Prof M S Swaminathan, Member of Parliament and father of Green Revolution. He was releasing a book ‘Advances in Harvest and Post-Harvest Technology of Fish’ edited by Prof. D D Nambudiri and Prof. K V Peter at the mini-auditorium, Ayurvedic Hospital & Research Centre, Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal.Dr M Abdul Salam, Hon. Vice- Chancellor, University of Calicut, received the first copy of the book. About 19 eminent authors have written in the book published by New India Publishing Agency, New Delhi.Prof. K V Peter, former Vice- Chancellor, Kerala Agricultural University, welcomed the gathering and Dr. Nirmal Babu, Indian Institute of Spices Research, Calicut proposed a vote of thanks.Prof D D Nambudiri, spoke on the book. Dr K K Warrier, General Manager, Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal, Dr K Raveendranath, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Calicut University, and Dr Indira Balachandran, Project Director, CMPR, Kottakkal and many other dignitaries from University of Calicut and CMFRI were present.
