Pravin pleads for psychiatric tests

Pravin: Pravin Mahajan would urge the court on Wednesday to allow him undergo psychiatric tests, his lawyer Nandkumar Rajurkar.

Pravin Mahajan has been held on the charge of murdering his elder brother and BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan.

This is the fourth time he would seek permission to undergo psychiatric tests.

Earlier, the court had rejected his plea thrice, his lawyer said. He said it was necessary for Pravin to undergo these tests to know his state of mind and under what circumstances he had shot at his brother on April 22.

The lawyer also said that Pravin would also urge the court to return his car seized by the Worli police.

Earlier, the court had rejected his plea to return the car to his family saying investigations were underway.

Pravin had pleaded that the car was not used in the crime and hence it may be returned to his family.
