'Paradesi': Shocking trailer of the film goes viral
The film 'Paradesi' revolves around the plight of tea plantation workers during the pre-independent India.

National award winning director Bala has helmed films such as 'Avan Ivan' and 'Sethu' in the past, however, it is his latest film 'Paradesi' that has caught the attention of the viewers on world wide web after a controversial video showed the director hitting junior artistes on the film's set.

The makers of the film 'Paradesi' released a film trailer titled 'Paradesi Reality Teaser' that raised questions about the way the film has been shot by Bala. The video shows the director beating his actors with a stick, he even kicks the female characters while shooting some crucial scenes of the film, in order to get the right take that is most close to the trauma of the characters that the film is portraying.

The video has sent shock waves amongst the audience and has raised serious questions on the image of the National Award Winning director.

Post the video, people on Twitter have condemned and blasted the director for his bizarre ways of filmmaking. But defending Bala, the actors of the film have come out and stated the director has has put his heart and soul in his upcoming film. Actor Adharvaa Murali tweeted, "Hey guys in that video it's nt d real stick which bala sir hitting us! (sic)".

The film 'Paradesi' revolves around the plight of tea plantation workers during the pre-independent India. The film is inspired from a novel called 'Eriyum Panikadu'- a Tamil translation of the 1969 novel titled 'Red Tea' by Paul Harris Daniel. Bala roped in 200 junior artistes to play pivotal roles in the film.

The video, which has now gone viral, may be a promotional gig or a reality check on how films in India are made but it surely has raged the viewers which might affect the film at the Box Office.####
