Guwahati: Commenting on the Delhi blasts, Home Minister Shivraj Patil said that blasts are not a political issue but a human issue.
Speaking at Guwahati on Sunday, Patil said that all Indians are concerned about the blasts.
"We should not take any accusatory stand," he warned. "Evidences have been collected, they are being examined very carefully and we cannot come to any conclusion till the investigations are completed," he added.
Shivraj Patil drew similarities with earlier terror attacks in the country. "Narrow-mindedness should be given up and police force and intelligence agencies should be strengthened and modernised at all levels. We need to revive the Kotwali system of policing with a group of people in every village acting as the eyes and ears of the police. We must marry the western and local traditional systems," said Patil.
The bomb blasts in Delhi's busy crowded market areas and public places on Saturday claimed lives of more than 21 people and injured more than 100.
The five blasts at three places in the national capital on Saturday evening came as a rude reminder that terror stalks the average Indian as an everyday reality and can strike at will any place, any time.
