KOZHIKODE: Nasair, the low-cost air carrier which started its operation in Kozhikode last year, will start services to other destinations in the country as part of its strategic expansion plan. The expansion plan comes in the wake of its success in Saudi Arabia-Kozhikode service. Deputy Chief Country Officer and Director of Sales Turki Abdullah al-Jawini in a press conference here on Wednesday announced that new flights would be launched either by fresh acquisition or taking aircraft on lease. The Director of Sales was in the state with regard to the first anniversary celebrations of air craft services in Kerala. He also added that the airline has suspended its operation to two other destinations in the country to concentrate in the Saudi-Kozhikode sector alone. “Launching service in October 2010 in the sector, ‘Nasair’ has recorded rapid growth in the civil aviation sector by catering to the need of customers efficiently. The company tries to keep a 15 to 20 per cent margin with the other air carriers,” said Turki Abdullah al-Jawini at a press conference. E M Najeeb, who is the Chairman and Managing Director of the Great India Aviation Services (GIAS), is the General Sales Agent for Nasair in Kerala.
