Kolkata: Narada News CEO Mathew Samuel on Wednesday handed over new video footage of sting operation to CBI as proof against IPS officer HMS Mirza for taking bribes to help businesses in West Bengal.

Mathew reached CBI office here around 11 am and handed over the new videos.

"In the video Mirza was seen accepting additional money from Mathew. Two Kolkata-based businessmen were also seen in the video. These businessmen were referred to Mirza by a Rajya Sabha Trinamool Congress MP for the same purpose of doing business with ease in the state. We will soon question them and the Rajya Sabha MP will be asked for his explanation on the matter," the CBI source said.

Mirza was the former superintendent of police of Burdwan district. Recently, during interrogation, Mirza claimed that it was Syed Tazdar Ali Mirza, alias 'Tiger' who introduced him to Samuel.

Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress MP Sultan Ahmed has failed to appear before the CBI. Citing health reasons, Ahmed, in a letter to CBI, requested the probe agency for few more days to appear before them citing ill health as the ground for delay. "The letter was sent by his lawyer and he is now supposed to meet CBI sleuths on July 3," the source said.
