HYDERABAD: The Muslim community heads on Monday urged all political parties, students and the joint action committees in the state to postpone their agitation, bandhs and other demonstrations that affect the common man till the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan. They said that the recent agitation programmes being carried out by the Telangana and Andhra JACs are causing huge discomfort, loss in business and also hindrance to the Muslim community which is celebrating Ramzan.A Muslim delegation led by Moulana S S Asrar Hussain Razvi Al Madani, president of Markazi Mashaiq and Ulema Forum on Monday called on chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and appealed him to ensure that all agitation programmes during Ramzan month are postponed. They said that as the Muslims regularly go to mosques and places of religious worship during the month of Ramzan, frequent agitations and bandhs would pose a problem for them. The chief minister responded positively to their request and assured to do the needful in this regard. The delegation also appealed to the employees JAC to postpone the strike which will lead to non-payment of salaries and advances for Muslim employees this month. They also pointed out that businessmen and petty vendors invest huge amounts to purchase stocks in advance anticipating brisk business during this month and disruption to their business will cause severe loss to them.The delegation invited people of all religions in the state to join them in Ramzan celebrations.
