New Delhi: Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi is likely to be the next Attorney General, sources said on Sunday.
Sources said that the BJP zeroed in on Rohatgi after Harish Salve said it would be hard for him to take up the post due to professional and personal commitments.
The BJP leadership had also consulted Soli Sorabjee, who had served as Attorney General during the NDA regime from 1999 to 2004, before finalising on Rohatgi.
