Jodhpur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday said that making the youth self-reliant by equipping them with skill was the priority of her government.
"For this, we would be launching the Mukhyamantri Kaushal Anudaan Yojana from the January 1, 2017 to make our youth skilled and employable," she said.
Under this new scheme, youth can avail the loan of up to Rs 1 lakh to get high quality skill development training. The state government will provide interest subsidy from 4 to 6 percent on this loan, she said.
Raje was addressing a huge gathering at Umaid Stadium in Jodhpur this afternoon after laying foundation stone and dedicating to public various developmental projects on the occasion of completion of three years of the state government.
Reaffirming her commitment to serve the public of state, she announced the holding of the Mukhyamantri Shahari Jan Kalyan Shivirs next year. These camps shall focus on regularization of residential plots, houses and issuing of lease deeds in urban areas.
While presenting the report card of 3 years of governance, Raje said "our three years' achievements have left far behind the works of the previous government".
The Chief Minister while mentioning the flagship Bhamashah and Skill Development programmes said, Rajasthan was the first state in the country to set up ITIs in government sector while on second position in setting up ITIs in private sector.
She said that Rajasthan would now be the first state in the country to have two Skill Development Universities, first one in government and the second in private sector, she added.
"We are focused on development, so we have no time for politics while the previous government had no time for development works as they were indulged in doing politics," the chief minister said.
Raje also announced policy and act for conservation and protection of cows.
