THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident that occurred at Enikkara under Aruvikkara police station limits during the early hours of Sunday. M R Jayakrishnan, 31, a technical assistant with Jaihind TV, was killed when a tanker lorry carrying water to a private hospital hit his bike. This is the second death involving a tanker lorry in the locality within the last three weeks. According to the police, the accident occurred while Jayakrishnan was returning after duty. The collision occurred at a curve. Jayakrishnan was rushed to Medical College Hospital and from there to a private hospital. But he succumbed to injuries by around 7.30 a m. Jayakrishnan is the son of late freedom fighter K P Madhavan. He is survived by mother Radha, wife Dhanya and a one-and-a-half month old girl child. A similar death occurred in the area almost three weeks ago. Baiju, 30, of Vellanadu, met with the accident while he was riding a two-wheeler with his wife and two-year-old daughter. The two wheeler was hit by a tanker lorry that was carrying water from Aruvikkara plant to the city.
