HYDERABAD: A gas cylinder exploded in a house late on Thursday night due to suspected gas leakage, injuring four persons, including three children.The explosion took place in the house of Ramakrishna, a resident of Champapet in Saroornagar. According to police, Ramakrishna, his wife Ramuluamma and their three children, Manisha, Pushpa and Vamshi were sleeping outside the house due to the heat. Ramulamma reportedly did not turn off the knob of the cylinder after preparing meals and had closed all windows of the kitchen. Soon, the leaking gas filled the entire kitchen and spread to another adjoining room where a lamp was lit and the house caught fire around 12.30 a.m. The cylinder exploded with a defeaning sound waking up people in the locality.Though the family was sleeping outside, the fire sneaked through the small opening of the front door. Ramulamma and the three children ended up catching fire. They suffered minor burns while Ramakrishna escaped unhurt.
