Militants hole up in Jammu house, firing on

New Delhi: One policeman is dead and eight security personnel have been injured in the encounter between militants and security forces which began late last evening and is still on.

Two militants opened fire from a house, when Army, CRPF and police personnel were combing the area.

The police believe the two militants are local commanders of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.

Those injured include a lieutenant colonel and five jawans from the Army. Two CRPF jawans have also been injured.
