The crime came to light on Friday after neighbours smelt odour of the decomposed body emanating from the house in Gultekadi area.
Pune: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her husband for violating his "dress code" as she continued to wear jeans and T-shirt which he disapproved, police said on Saturday.
The accused, a 24-year-old man identified as Ranjit Nishad, is absconding.
After repeated arguments with his wife, Pooja, over wearing jeans and T-shirt a few days back, the accused allegedly assaulted and killed the woman, locked the house and fled, police said quoting the neighbours.
