The veteran social activist has been ignoring requests from his close associates to call off his hunger strike.
Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Tuesday night appealed to Anna Hazare, who is running fever, to end his fast.
Chavan spoke to the 74-year-old Gandhian over phone and appealed to him to end his protest action since he is not keeping well, sources in the Chief Minister's Office said.
Besides fever, Hazare, who began his three-day fast in Mumbai on Tuesdsay to protest against a "weak" Lokpal Bill, has chest infection and weakness.
