Eventifier sorts out your worries of archiving event photos, videos, tweets and much more from the web. Fashioned by three college friends in Chennai — Mohammad Saud Bakhar, Nazim Zeeshan and Jazeel Badur Ferry — Eventifier organises all communication around an event that is being shared on social media platforms. “It automatically pulls event related content from various social streams and archives it in a dedicated archive page,” explains Ferry.
Behind the scenes
The idea was born when the trio attended hackathons, but found it hard to trace them once they were over. “We saw the data around the past events lost in the vastness of the web and hence find them very random and broken. So we decided to build a web app that would make it easy to browse a past event’s data and know all the bits and pieces of information flowing around it,” Ferry says.
Ready to navigate
The web app archives corporate and social events, which should have a unique hashtag that can be shared by users on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Using the hashtag, Eventifier tracks tweets of a particular event where attendees can participate through a wider forum. Ferry also adds that it is useful for organisers to reach out to anyone after an event, when the hashtag ceases to link to the desired information. The app also takes into account the number of attendees, reviews and opinions post and during the event.
