New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is CNN-IBN's Indian of the Year 2014 and the ISRO team won the Lifetime Achievement Award. Wipro Chairman Azim Premji and Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi won the Indian of the Year for outstanding achievement.
In a star-studded ceremony on Tuesday, CNN-IBN declared the Indian of the Year. CNN-IBN Indian of the Year recognises the Indians whose contribution to the country has strengthened the foundation of our society and has helped build Brand India in the process.
This is the ninth edition of the awards which were introduced in 2006. The awards adhere to a robust procedure in selecting the awardees which is finalised by a jury consisting of a select group of distinguished personalities.
