Kukis Seeking Foreign Help For Separate State, Made Special Requests to Israel: Sources | EXCLUSIVE
Sources have said that the "hidden agenda" of Kukis is dangerous with their possible alliance with world bodies to carve out a separate state.

Amid drone attacks by Kuki militants in Manipur, CNN-News18 has learnt that the Kukis have sought foreign help in carving out a separate state for them, making matters more serious, according to Intelligence sources. A separate memorandum was issued to the UN, UK and Israel in June 2023 by World Kuki-Zo Intellectual Council.

Sources have said that the “hidden agenda” of Kukis is dangerous with their possible alliance with world bodies to carve out a separate state. According to details available, the Council submitted three memorandums to UK, UN and Israel for special interventions to meet their demands of separate state from hilly areas. They said this was their right of self governance under Article 3 of the Indian Constitution.

The Council has submitted a special demand from Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu to intervene under various international agreements.

Decoding The Kuki-Israel Connection

The Kukis have made a special demand to Netanyahu under George Abraham Grierson Survey 1904 and under UN Declaration on Rights of Indigenous People, Paris Principles 1,2,3 by integrating all Kuki-Chin territories of Chin State – Myanmar/Burma, Chittagaon Hill Tracts(CHT) Bangladesh and Mizoram (India) and Kuki Hills in Outer Manipur, asking that be merged and made one separate country.

According to security agencies, these Kukis identify themselves as lost Jew tribes who came to India for tourism purposes long back and after that they were made captives by India.

In a systematic way, they have been writing to Israel from Manipur and Mizoram that they want to come to Israel and fight with Hamas. They have claimed they are about about 5,000 people living in the Manipur and Mizoram who believe they are the descendants of the Manasseh.

They said they are lost tribes of Israel exiled in 722 BC by Assyrian conquerors and commonly referred to as the Bnei Menashe community, or Hebrew for the children of Manasseh, the first son of Joseph.

Sources in the agencies said there have been calculated moves by the European world, the US and Israel not to openly disown these Kukis. Earlier, US ambassador to New Delhi Eric Garcetti had also offered to be a mediator in the Manipur crisis if India wished.
